The Sport Student CYPRES 2 is an AAD designed to accommodate students during their initial progression. Unique activation parameters account for prospective student emergencies.
The Sport (civilian) Student CYPRES 2 is an Automatic Activation Device (AAD) that is specifically designed for students during their initial progression.
The lower activation speed of 13 m/s and two default altitude settings monitors prospective student emergency situations:
- Descent rate lower than freefall but above 29 mph: 1000 ft. activation
- Indicates line over, partial canopy inflation, spinning malfunction under open canopy or other freefall scenario
- Descent rate equal to freefall: 750 ft. activation
- Activation speed: approx. 13 m/s
In the event a jump is aborted, it is advised to turn off the Student CYPRES 2 to avoid unintentional activation.
