The Military CYPRES 2 Static Line System (SLS) initiates deployment of the reserve parachute for low-level round canopy static line jumpers if the main parachute does not slow to a vertical speed of less than 29 mph approximately 500 to 600 feet below the aircraft.
The Military CYPRES 2 Static Line System Automatic Activation Device (AAD) is a combination of:
- 1 CYPRES 2 SLS Aircraft Module
- 1 CYPRES 2 SLS Self-Test Module
- Multiple CYPRES 2 SLS units
