Aircrew
Military
The Military Aircrew CYPRES 2 assists aircrew in a forced bail-out emergency situation and in an unintentional fall from an aircraft. Two standard AAD arming methods: automatic and manual.
The Military Aircrew CYPRES 2 is designed to assist aircrew in the event of an emergency situation involving the forced bail-out of an aircraft or an unintentional fall from an aircraft, such as when working at open tailgates.
The standard Aircrew CYPRES 2 Automatic Activation Device (AAD) accommodates two different arming methods:
- Automatic Arming (static line): In the event of an emergency bail-out, the static line will automatically arm the unit by pulling the arming cable. The unit is disarmed during normal flight. The Aircrew CYPRES 2 will not interfere with any conceivable flight scenarios or cabin pressure situations. Best suited for pilots and aircrew who are permanently seated.
- Manual Arming (slide bar): Easily armed and disarmed by manually pushing the slide bar. Best suited for those whose position may change during flight, such as aircrew working at the aircraft door, open tailgate etc.
