The Military CYPRES 2 2500/29 A is recommended for heavy tandem and MTTB operations. AAD activation settings allow for the deployment of large parachutes and heavy loads, and a slower fall rate if the bundle is cut away.
The Military CYPRES 2 2500/29 A Automatic Activation Device (AAD) accommodates heavy tandem and MTTB (Military Tandem Tethered Bundle) operations loads.
Activation settings allow for large size parachute deployment and heavy loads, and adjusts to a slower fall rate under large bundle drogue after bundle load cutaway:
- Activation altitude: approx. 2500 ft.
- Activation speed: approx. 29 m/s
A minimum vertical separation of 1000 ft. is recommended for the bundle delivery parachute, ideally combined with the Military CYPRES 2 1500/35 A.
Do not use for solo jumps with tandem equipment that includes a large drogue system.

Two functions, one device:
- Training Mode: for all jumps at local dropzones; automatically calibrates to ground level (QFE) and monitors the parachuting activity.
- Operational Mode: for all jumps to a remote landing area; sets to the landing elevation using absolute air pressure (mbar/In.Hg).
